WANTED: Canteen Manager 2024

The soccer club is looking to find someone that will be able to manage the canteen mostly during the miniroos saturday game days at Nijong Oval. Starting from week 2 of term 2 we will need someone to oversee canteen operations. You will have helpers each week to cook and serve hot food. As canteen manager your duties will include:

  1. Ensuring there is enough stock to open on saturday morning at 9am. This includes making sure there is enough bread, sausages, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, lollies, drinks etc.

  2. Opening up the canteen on the morning, start to cook food with assistance from volunteers.

  3. Ensuring the place is neat, tidy and clean at opening and closing times.

  4. Hotspotting wifi to enable EFTPOS machine to take payments (training provided)

  5. Accounting for cash revenue at the end of the morning and reporting back to the club.

  6. Managing and collecting receipts for proper account records.

The canteen is usually only open from 9am till 11am or so, and only when there are sufficient games in Cooma. There may be occasions where we have the canteen open during the afternoon when there are many other junior games playing at the same time.

Although we can get helpers from parents on a weeekly rotational basis, we need a person that can manage the whole operation weekly. Without this person there will simply not be a canteen running. Please get in touch with Gerard and email info@coomafc.com.au if you are interested

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

ALL parents that are involved in a coaching in managing role in a junior team (anyone under 18, including miniroos) will need to get a working with children check. This does not cost anything and you only need the "Volunteer" clearance. Just apply for one here or visit Service NSW to find out how to apply in person.

Once completed, please forward your Name, Check Number and Expiry Date to info@coomafc.com.au
